View Second Chance

What this does

Second Chance splits the .com domains from the latest drop batch into two views — "Available now" (still unregistered, ready to grab) and "Already taken" (someone registered them later after they sat available for a while). Clicking "Second Chance" in the sidebar lands you on "Available now" by default; switch tabs at the top to flip between them. Both tabs only show the latest drop batch.

How to do it

1. Click "Second Chance" in the left sidebar under the Explore section. You'll land on the "Available now" tab.
2. "Available now" shows premium .com domains from the latest drop batch that are still unregistered. The heading shows the total count.
3. Click "Already taken" at the top to switch to the second tab — same batch, but only the domains that were available at some point and have since been hand-registered.
4. On either tab, use the search box next to the title to find a specific domain by name. Search runs across every domain in that tab's list, not just the current page.
5. Click the filter icon to narrow the list — pick from Domain, Age, Registered TLDs, Letters, Pattern, Drop date, Previously sold, or In watchlist. Letters filters to an exact letter count (type 4 for four-letter domains). Pattern matches a consonant/vowel shape using C and V (e.g. CVCV matches pronounceable names like "moto"). Registered TLDs narrows to names already taken on at least a given number of other extensions — set a minimum like 30 to find the most-claimed names. Previously sold narrows to names that have (or haven't) sold before in the sales Euphyr tracks — the "Previously sold" column shows the highest past price, with "+N more" when a name sold several times. In watchlist narrows to domains you have (or haven't) already added to your account — pick "Yes" to see only the ones already in your watchlist or portfolio.
6. On "Available now", click the plus icon at the end of any row to save that domain. Rows already in your account show a check icon — clicking it opens the domain in your watchlist or portfolio in a new tab. "Already taken" rows can also be added to your watchlist for reference.
7. Use "Previous" and "Next" at the bottom of the table to step through pages.

Common questions

How is Second Chance different from Dropping?

Dropping lists upcoming .com drops you can still backorder. Second Chance shows what happened to the latest batch after the drop — "Available now" is the subset that's still unregistered, "Already taken" is the subset that someone hand-registered later. Together they cover everything from that batch that reached the "available" state at some point.

What's the difference between "Available now" and "Already taken"?

"Available now" lists the latest drop batch's domains that are unregistered right this moment — register at any .com registrar to grab one. "Already taken" lists the same batch's domains that were once available but have since been hand-registered. The two together cover the whole "made it through the drop" picture.

Why might a domain move from "Available now" to "Already taken"?

Because someone registered it. Both tabs reflect the registry's current state, so the moment a domain stops being free, it shifts from one tab to the other.

What does the "Registered TLDs" column mean?

The Registered TLDs column shows how many other extensions that name is already taken on — for example, a 42 next to acme means acme is registered on 42 extensions (like .net, .org, .xyz, and so on). A higher number signals the name is in demand: people have already claimed it widely. The number is colour-coded — red for a low count, amber in the middle, green once it's high. A dash (—) means the count hasn't finished loading yet. Click the "Registered TLDs" column header to sort by it, or filter to a minimum count to surface the most-claimed names.

Can I still backorder a domain from Second Chance?

No — once a domain has dropped it's first-come, first-served. Register it directly through any registrar that supports the .com TLD.

How do I narrow Second Chance to a specific day?

Both tabs always show the latest drop batch only, so the date is already fixed. The Drop date filter inside the filter chip is available if you want to spot-check, but most of the time you'll just be looking at the current batch.

When it doesn't work

• "Nothing from the latest drop is available" — either every .com from the latest batch is already registered, or the drop results aren't out yet. Check back later.
• "Nothing claimed from the latest batch yet" — same batch, no one has hand-registered any of its available domains yet.
• "No results for \"…\"" — the search term didn't match any name on the current tab. Clear the search or try the other tab.
• A domain you saw earlier is missing from "Available now" — someone just registered it, so it moved to "Already taken". Flip tabs to confirm.
