Sync your Namecheap portfolio into Euphyr

Updated 2026-07-25

What this does

Pulls every domain in your Namecheap account into Euphyr. New domains land in your portfolio as verified, watchlist domains you also own at Namecheap get verified automatically, and any portfolio domain whose registrar changed has its "Synced from" label updated. You stay in control of when this runs — sync only fires when you click the button.

How to do it

  1. Open Settings from the left sidebar.
  2. Open the Integrations tab.
  3. In Namecheap, turn on API access under Profile → Tools → API Access. Namecheap only allows this once your account has at least 20 domains, a $50 balance, or $50 spent.
  4. In that same Namecheap API Access screen, add Euphyr's IP address 38.46.216.231 to the whitelist. Namecheap blocks API requests from any address that isn't whitelisted.
  5. Back in Euphyr, click Connect on the Namecheap tile, enter your API User and API Key, then click Save.
  6. On the Namecheap tile, click Sync. A toast shows how many domains were added to your portfolio.

When the sync finishes, open Portfolio to see your domains. New rows are marked with a Namecheap badge on the card and a Synced from: Namecheap row inside each domain's detail page.

Common questions

Where do I get the API User and API Key?

Sign in to Namecheap and open Profile → Tools → API Access. Turn API access on, then copy your API Key from that screen. Your API User is your Namecheap account username. Both go into the Connect dialog in Euphyr.

Why do I have to whitelist an IP address?

Namecheap only accepts API requests from IP addresses you've added to the whitelist on the API Access screen. Euphyr always connects from a single fixed address, 38.46.216.231, so adding that one IP is all you need. Without it, both connecting and syncing fail with a "blocked" message.

Why does Namecheap say API access isn't available?

Namecheap only lets an account turn on API access once it has at least 20 domains, a $50 account balance, or $50 spent. If you don't meet one of those, the API Access screen won't give you a key, and Euphyr can't connect until it does.

How often can I sync?

You can sync once per minute. If you click Sync twice quickly, the second click returns "Sync was just run. Wait a minute and try again." This protects you against accidental double-clicks that would each fire the full domain analysis for any newly-discovered domains.

What if I have a very large portfolio?

Large Namecheap accounts sync in stages until every page has been processed. Existing domains are never duplicated.

What happens to domains already on my watchlist?

If a domain on your watchlist also shows up in your Namecheap account, the sync verifies it automatically and moves it into your portfolio. You don't need to add a DNS record to prove ownership when sync confirms it.

What happens to domains already in my portfolio?

Sync skips them unless their registrar changed. If a portfolio domain was previously labeled Synced from: Dynadot and now lives at Namecheap, sync flips the label to Synced from: Namecheap. The original "Verified" status and any prices or notes you saved are kept exactly as they were.

Does sync analyze the new domains automatically?

Yes. Every new domain sync adds to your portfolio also kicks off the full Euphyr analysis — valuation, similar sales, trademark check, Wayback history, and so on. You'll see the results populate over the next two to three minutes per domain.

When it doesn't work

  • "Sync was just run. Wait a minute and try again." — You synced within the last minute. Wait sixty seconds and click Sync again.
  • "Connect Namecheap first in Settings → Integrations." — Your Namecheap connection is missing. Click Connect on the Namecheap tile, enter your API User and Key, then try Sync again.
  • "Namecheap blocked the request. Confirm 38.46.216.231 is whitelisted..." — The IP isn't on your Namecheap API whitelist. Add 38.46.216.231 in Profile → Tools → API Access, then try again.
  • "Namecheap rejected those credentials..." — Your API User or Key is wrong, or API access isn't enabled. Re-check both on the API Access screen, confirm API access is on, then reconnect.
  • "Namecheap rate-limited the request. Wait a minute and try again." — Too many requests arrived at once. Wait a minute and click Sync again.
  • "Couldn't reach Namecheap." — Namecheap was unreachable or slow. Check your connection and try Sync again in a few seconds.
