Sync your name.com portfolio into Euphyr
Updated 2026-07-25
What this does
Pulls every domain in your name.com account into Euphyr. New domains land in your portfolio as verified, watchlist domains you also own at name.com get verified automatically, and any portfolio domain whose registrar changed has its "Synced from" label updated. You stay in control of when this runs — sync only fires when you click the button.
How to do it
- Open
Settingsfrom the left sidebar. - Open the
Integrationstab. - Connect name.com if you haven't already: click
Connecton the name.com tile, enter your name.com username and API token, then clickSave. - On the name.com tile, click
Sync. - Wait a few seconds. A modal opens showing the alphabetical list of every domain that was added or moved into your portfolio, with a direct "Open" link to each one.
When the sync finishes, open Portfolio to see your domains. New rows are marked with a name.com badge on the card and a Synced from: name.com row inside each domain's detail page.
Common questions
Where do I get the API token?
Sign in to your name.com account, open the API Token Management page in the account dashboard, and generate a new token. The token is shown only once at creation time — save it before closing the page. The token is different from your account password.
How often can I sync?
You can sync once per minute. If you click Sync twice in quick succession, the second click returns "Sync was just run. Wait a minute and try again." This protects you against accidental double-clicks that would each fire the full domain analysis pipeline for any newly-discovered domains.
What happens to domains already on my watchlist?
If a domain on your watchlist also shows up in your name.com account, the sync verifies it automatically and moves it into your portfolio. You don't need to add a DNS TXT record to prove ownership when sync confirms it. The "Verified" label on the domain shows it was verified via name.com sync rather than DNS.
What happens to domains already in my portfolio?
Sync skips them unless their registrar changed. If a portfolio domain was previously labeled Synced from: Dynadot and now lives at name.com, sync flips the label to Synced from: name.com. The original "Verified" status and any prices or notes you saved are kept exactly as they were.
Does sync analyze the new domains automatically?
Yes. Every new domain sync adds to your portfolio also kicks off the full Euphyr analysis — valuation, similar sales, trademark check, Wayback history, and so on. You'll see the results populate over the next two to three minutes per domain.
My account uses Two-Factor Authentication. Will sync work?
No. The name.com API does not support accounts with Two-Factor Authentication enabled. If you see "Permission Denied — Authentication Error" after connecting, disable 2FA on your name.com account, then reconnect with a fresh API token.
What if I have a very large portfolio?
Large name.com accounts sync in stages until every page has been processed. Existing domains are never duplicated.
When it doesn't work
- "Sync was just run. Wait a minute and try again." — You synced within the last minute. Wait sixty seconds and click
Syncagain. - "Connect name.com first in Settings → Integrations." — Your name.com connection is missing. Click
Connecton the name.com tile, enter your username and API token, then trySyncagain. - "name.com rejected those credentials." — Your username or token is incorrect or no longer valid. Click
Disconnecton the name.com tile, generate a fresh API token in your name.com dashboard, then reconnect. - "name.com returned 404 for the domains endpoint." — Your API token doesn't have the right scope. Generate a new token with full domain access in your name.com API portal, then reconnect.
- "name.com rate limit hit." — name.com temporarily blocked the read. Wait one minute and click
Syncagain. - "Couldn't reach name.com." — name.com was unreachable or slow. Check your internet connection and try
Syncagain in a few seconds. - Sync says "Nothing new to add" — Either every name.com domain is already in your portfolio and tagged with
Synced from: name.com, or your name.com account is empty. Open your name.com dashboard to confirm what's there.
