Portfolio
Create custom scoring rules
Updated 2026-07-21
What this does
Scoring profiles let you rate domains in Portfolio and Watchlist against your own conditions. A matching condition can add points, subtract points, or mark a domain as "Excluded"; your default profile supplies the result shown for each domain.
How to do it
- Open "Scoring" from the left sidebar.
- Click "New profile" and name the profile for the strategy it represents.
- Choose a "Signal", "Match", and "Value" for the first condition. For example, set "TLD" to "is" and enter
com. - Choose "Add points", "Subtract points", or "Exclude" as the result when the condition matches. Enter the number of points when you add or subtract.
- Click "Add condition" to add more conditions until the profile reflects your strategy. A profile needs at least one condition that adds points, and its positive points can total no more than 100.
- Click "Create profile". Euphyr evaluates the conditions against every domain in Portfolio and Watchlist. When editing a profile, click "Save changes" instead.
- Open a saved profile's actions and click "Set as default" if you want its results shown across your portfolio. Your first profile becomes the default automatically.
Common questions
How is my score calculated?
Each scoring profile starts a domain at zero. Every matching "Add points" or "Subtract points" condition changes the total once; a condition that does not match has no effect. The final score stays between 0 and 100.
What happens when an Exclude condition matches?
A matching "Exclude" condition shows the domain as "Excluded" instead of giving it a numeric score. The domain stays in your portfolio. Exclusion only means it falls outside that scoring profile.
What does Waiting for data mean?
"Waiting for data" means Euphyr does not yet have every signal needed by the profile's conditions. Euphyr does not show a partial score. The profile is evaluated again as domain intelligence becomes available.
What does the default profile control?
The profile marked "Default" supplies the result shown beside domains in Portfolio and Watchlist. You can save several profiles for different strategies, but only one profile can be the default at a time.
What do the result labels mean?
- N/100 — Every required signal is available, and the number is the total from matching conditions.
- Excluded — At least one matching condition uses "Exclude".
- Waiting for data — At least one condition still needs a signal. The percentage shows how much of the required data is available.
- Out of date — The profile conditions or a domain signal changed after the result was calculated. Open "Scoring" and click "Recalculate" from the profile's actions.
- Not scored — No result exists for the default profile yet, or you have not created a profile.
Where can I see why a domain received its score?
Open the domain and expand "Condition breakdown" under "Your score" on the Overview tab. It shows every condition, the domain's actual value, and whether the condition added or subtracted points, had no effect, is waiting for data, or excluded the domain.
When do scores recalculate?
Euphyr recalculates a profile when you create or edit it. A domain is also evaluated when you add it, when new intelligence becomes available, and when you change its acquisition price. To refresh every Portfolio and Watchlist domain against one profile immediately, open "Scoring", open that profile's actions, and click "Recalculate".
Is my custom score the same as Euphyr's valuation?
No. A custom score reports how well a domain matches the conditions you chose. It is not a price estimate or a guarantee of quality, demand, or a future sale.
How many scoring profiles and conditions can I save?
You can save up to five scoring profiles. Each profile can contain up to 20 conditions.
When it doesn't work
- "Add at least one condition with positive points." — Add a condition with "Add points". A profile cannot contain only deductions or exclusions.
- "Positive points can't total more than 100." — Reduce one or more "Add points" values until their total is 100 or less.
- "A scoring profile with that name already exists." — Give the profile a different name.
- "You can save up to 5 scoring profiles." — Delete a profile you no longer need before creating another.
- "Profile saved. Recalculate when domain intelligence is ready." — The profile is safe, but its results did not refresh. Wait for the domain intelligence to finish, then click "Recalculate" from the profile's actions.
- "Scores didn't recalculate. Try again." — Wait a moment and click "Recalculate" again. If it still fails, refresh the page and retry.
