What this does

The "Trademarks" section on a domain's detail page shows active and pending U.S. trademark registrations that match the domain name. It helps you spot potential conflicts before listing or selling a domain.

How to do it

1. Open "Portfolio" from the left sidebar.
2. Click any domain to open its detail page.
3. Scroll to the "Trademarks" accordion and expand it.

Results appear automatically. If the section shows "Scanning USPTO records…", come back in a few seconds and refresh — the scan runs in the background on your first visit.

Common questions

What do "Registered" and "Pending" mean?

"Registered" means the trademark is active and on the USPTO register. "Pending" means an application has been filed and is being examined — it is not yet a full registration but still represents a potential conflict.

Why does the search only cover U.S. trademarks?

The Trademarks section checks the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office database. International trademark coverage may be added later.

Does a matching trademark mean I can't use the domain?

Not automatically. Trademark law is complex and depends on the goods and services the mark covers, how you intend to use the domain, and other factors. Euphyr shows you the signal — consult a trademark attorney before making decisions based on it.

The section says "No active or pending trademarks found." Is that accurate?

It means no match was found in the current USPTO data for the exact name. It is not a legal clearance. The data is updated regularly but may not reflect the most recent filings.

When it doesn't work

• "Scanning USPTO records…" stays for more than a minute — Refresh the page. The scan runs once in the background; if it failed silently, refreshing triggers it again.
• Results look stale — Trademark data is cached for up to three months and refreshes automatically. Contact support if the section remains out of date.
